From the opening tip of the season, the University of Tennessee Women’s Basketball team looked like they were going to be a force to be reckoned with in the SEC, but a couple of untimely conference losses set them back in the conference standings. The Lady Vols (23-6, 11-5) jumped out to an impressive 15-0 to start the season, but due to their 5 conference losses they finished the season in a 4-way tie for 4th place in the SEC and earned a 7 seed for the tournament.

NASHVILLE, Tenn.- Two Nashville-based Ohio Valley Conference rivals will face-off in the final game of the regular season on Saturday afternoon. The TSU Tigers (6-19, 4-12) will make the short drive across town to take on the conference leaders, the Belmont Bruins (26-3, 16-0). The Bruins are still riding a 41-consecutive conference game winning streak that dates back to the 2015-16 season and are ranked 23rd in the latest AP Top 25, which is the first time a Belmont team has ever made an appearance in the top 25.
